JUDILLOID OVALO

Baritone Vocalist

Judilloid Ovalo, born and raised in Poblacion, Malangas, Zamboanga del Sur, serves as the baritone vocalist of Leviticus Singers. Married and currently a DILG Officer (MLGOO/LGOO VI) assigned at the Local Government Unit of Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay, he balances public service with active involvement in church ministry. He is also the current PARL Representative of Camanga Seventh-day Adventist Church in Malangas.

His love for music began in his elementary years, driven by a natural passion for singing and performing before an audience. During his childhood, he became a member of a church choir led by Pastor Jun Asoy, where he received foundational guidance. Though mostly self-developed through observation and experience, his musical growth was shaped by continuous exposure to performers and ministry engagements. His preferred genres include ballads, mellow songs, 80s–90s love songs, religious music, and contemporary worship.

One of his most memorable performances was singing with the group at the Mountain View College Alumni Church—a place where only selected performers are given the opportunity to minister. For him, that moment affirmed both privilege and responsibility in their calling.

As baritone vocalist, Judilloid provides the rich and steady vocal foundation of the trio. Beyond singing, he plays multiple vital roles within the group:

  • Driver during ministry travels
  • Social Media Manager
  • Contributor to musical arrangement ideas and performance reviews
  • Main Graphic Artist, Video Editor, and Music Editor
  • Spokesperson and Editor-in-Chief
  • Production Manager

His strength lies in being action-oriented and output-driven, ensuring that every project and presentation meets a standard of excellence.

Among the most challenging aspects of his ministry journey are facing criticism and learning to manage his temper. Yet through these struggles, he testifies that God has transformed his lifestyle, character, and spiritual life. Accepting Joel’s invitation to return to music ministry alongside Jade was a decisive moment of faith—without hesitation and without knowing what lay ahead.

For Judilloid, singing is not primarily for others but for his own spiritual healing. Music ministers to his soul, especially in moments of weakness in service. Through every performance, he draws closer to God. He has personally witnessed divine intervention during ministry—such as losing his voice before a performance but regaining it each time they stepped on stage, or encountering unexplained sound system problems that resolved after prayer. These experiences strengthened his conviction that their ministry is guided by God.

His prayer for Leviticus Singers is that the group will endure every trial, grow stronger with their families in serving the living God, and achieve their musical development goals according to God’s perfect timing.

When people hear him sing, he hopes they feel God’s love through the message of each song—bringing comfort to heavy hearts and inspiration to those who have lost hope.

Three words that describe him:
Action-oriented. Output-oriented. Impulsive.

Favorite Bible Passage:
Psalm 23:1–6

Life Motto:
“I take life as a gamble. We don’t know what’s ahead of us, so we must live life to the fullest.”

Outside ministry, Judilloid is a programmer by profession and a passionate koi, goldfish, and molly groomer/breeder/keeper. His favorite color is blue.
