1st Year Anniversary: A Journey of Faith, Music, and Mission

With grateful hearts, we celebrate the first anniversary of the Leviticus Singers — one year of God’s leading, open doors, strengthened faith, and countless opportunities to serve through music ministry.

🌱 The Beginning

On January 25, 2025, the Leviticus Singers began with a brand-new vision and commitment to respond to God’s call through sacred music.

From January to March 2025, we faithfully gathered for weekly practices (1–3 times each week), laying the spiritual and musical foundation of the group. In March, God provided the resources for the purchase of our own musical equipment — a milestone that strengthened our ministry capacity.

🔥 Evangelism & Ministry Support

In April 2025, we were privileged to support the 7-Day Crusade, “Ang Dalan sa Kinabuhing Dayon,” at Camanga SDA Church, Malangas District, Zamboanga Sibugay. This marked one of our first major evangelistic engagements as a group.

🤝 Fellowships & District Ministries

Throughout the year, the Lord allowed us to minister in various district-wide fellowships, crusades, church visitations, and seminars across Mindanao and the Visayas:

  • Pantukan District-Wide Fellowship – Pantukan, Davao de Oro
  • Metro-Molave District-Wide ASI Crusade – Molave, Zamboanga del Sur
  • Family Life & Gospel Seminar – Malangas, ZSP
  • Church Visitations – Midsalip, Ipil, Buug, Valencia, Kabasalan, Siquijor, Cebu, and more
  • Sectoral Fellowship (Sector 4) – Makilala, North Cotabato

Each event strengthened our commitment to serve wherever the mission calls.

🏡 Family • Health • Mission Emphasis

From August to October 2025, we participated in crusade culminations, health and family seminars, and mission caravans in Siay, Imelda, Malangas, Naga, and other locations. These ministries emphasized holistic evangelism — nurturing spiritual life, family relationships, and physical well-being.

🌍 Expanding the Mission

By November and December 2025, God expanded our reach beyond our home province, allowing us to minister in:

  • Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental
  • Lazi, Siquijor
  • Bogo City, Cebu

We also began supporting online ministries from July 2025 to the present, partnering with Chipj Ministry and Adventist Online Worship to reach souls through digital platforms.

🔔 Year-End Highlight

In January 2026, we were honored to minister during the WMC & ZPM Mission Reach 2026 Orientation at the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government Center in Pagadian City — a gathering of over a thousand delegates united in worship and mission alignment.

🙏 A Heart of Gratitude

This first year would not have been possible without the people God used to sustain and encourage this ministry.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our generous sponsors, church partners, and supporters who shared their resources, prayers, and presence. Your belief in our calling continues to inspire us to press forward.

We also give special recognition to our wives — Alma M. Sumalinog, Shendy Lou V. Suan, and Marilyn G. Ovalo — for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and faith behind the scenes. To our families and friends, thank you for standing with us every step of the way.

Above all, we give glory and honor to God — the source of every opportunity, provision, and strength. May He richly bless everyone who has become part of this ministry journey.

With gratitude,
Leviticus Singers

Judilloid Suan Ovalo, a Local Government Operations Officer VI (DILG Officer) assigned in Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay and currently SOFIA, Inc. President, is based in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay. He's an ornamental fish enthusiast since elementary school. He began engaging with the ornamental fish industry in Zamboanga Sibugay Province in 2020, which led to the establishment of JM Fish Sanctuary and Farm Technologies Aqua Farm. In 2021, he spearheaded the founding of the Sibugay Goldfish Keepers Association (SGKA), now known as the Sibugay Ornamental Fish Industries Association Inc. (SOFIA) along with his co-hobbyist from Kabasalan, Buug, Diplahan, and other parts of Zamboanga Sibugay Province. He has served as president since its inception of the and successfully registered the association, along with its incorporators, with the Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2022. His first "Grow Out" competition, titled “The Beast of Black Thai Oranda,” was organized in 2022 and featured fish from Garripaul del Rosario of Zamboanga City. The event was highly successful, with all fish being shipped and received by participants within 24 hours, released results within the required timeframe, and cash prizes and trophies were given to all winners without delays. In February 2023, he conceptualized and launched the Philippine Goldfish Groomers Cup Grooming/Grow-out concept. It is a four-month grooming challenge designed to engage top groomers from across the Philippines. The two editions of PGGC last 2023 were very successful, giving groomers enough time to grow their entries to its full potential while learning to make the fish survive through the four months grooming. Having the desire to help fellow hobbyists, he aims to foster the growth of the ornamental fish industry in the province and eventually lead the organization to an international level, benefiting all fellow enthusiasts along the way.
